Description:  Anterior area below the opening of the oesophagus foramen. It lies above the anteriormost area of GNG and houses part of the peripheral axon terminals via the pharyngeal nerve (dorsal pharyngeal sensory center). It lies anteriorly to the remaining components of the periesophageal neuropils.
