Description:  A part of i m pr in Strausfeld, lying ventrally to aimpr, mimpr and pimpr. The ventral body was not assigned in Otsuna's definition, and was accordingly not discriminated from vmpr.
Correspondence to the new system:  In the posterior dorsal part, it corresponds to ventral part of ICL. In the ventral part, it corresponds to the VX, including epaulet, gorget and vest. In Otsuna's definition, ventral body, which was renamed as lateral accessory lobe (LAL) in the new nomenclature system, was not independently assigned and included in vmpr.
