Morphological description: | ACT (DM1/VP2-VP3) is an oligoglomerular uACTI (unilateral ACT relay interneuron), or an olfactory projection neuron which projects from the glomeruli DM1, VP2 and VP3 of the antennal lobe to the calyx of the mushroom body. Its axon bifurcates into two major branches at the input site, one of which innervates DM1 and the other innervates both VP2 and VP3. |
