Morphological description: | Bilateral iACT (VP2-VP3/VP2) is a multiglomerular bACTI (bilateral ACT relay interneuron), or an olfactory projection neuron. After entering either of the antennal lobes via the iACT (inner antenno-cerebral tract), the axon innervates the glomeruli VP2 and the VP3 on the ipsilateral side, as well as VP2 on the contralateral lobe via the antennal commissure (AC) which connect both of the lobes. |
